IS OUR FUTURE HEADED TOWARDS A DYSTOPIA ?

 T he fact that every dystopia is someone's utopia both fascinates and horrifies me at the same time. Let's talk about the future then.Oh wait!!! Right now I am writing the article with my distal phalanges on the sleek laptop instead of pen and paper while using my left hand typing LOL to a whatsapp message delivered on my phone abutting me sideways ;Wi-fi is the Dr. Fixit in my room revamping my life with the right mix of entertainment and making me an eejit as well ,kicking me to the curbs of digital itch and with the idea of Metaverse ; we are here in the “Dystopian Nightmare”. We are actually living in a dystopian world , in a world that is overshadowed by technology and disconnect,alienation ,isolation and dysfunction. Predicting the dystopian future in star-wars terminology like witnessing World War 3 or nuclear holocaust or alien invasion or zombie infection or robot warfare or vampire apocalypse is obviously an attractive plot for the sci-fi writers...

RELEVANCE OF RELIGION IN 21ST CENTURY

 R eligion is an overhead for the atheist ; hope for the poor ; honor for the middle class ; means for the powerful and rich.The famous line by the French politician Andre Malraux –“The 21st century will be religious or it will not be”- is on track to be exonerated.Throughout history differences in religious beliefs have caused an astounding amount of social commotion,including persecution,alienation,violence and even war.People of a religion decide that their God is the only God ,so the faith of others becomes invalid.This way of thinking often leads to a social turmoil.Some people though have the thinking that one day they will see some sort of “World Religion”,but this is unlikely and may be unhealthy.The fact lies in here the myriad people who inhabit this earth require different ways to express their spirituality.Any attempt to force them all into the same religious bubble is a sisyphean task.One of the most common assumptions is that religiosity is linked to economic and tech...
